Abi Hwang Nable 9 months agoI have yet to try an actual burger from Fast Time Burgers, but just based on their Gnarly Fries alone I can tell you that I will absolutely be back to try everything! For only $7, you get a pile of French fries covered in what I assume is their Smash Sauce (similar to thousand island but with slightly more acidity), grilled/caramelized onions, and grated aged white cheddar. First of all, it’s great value plus it smells heavenly! When I took my first bite, I was hit with savory/salty cheese, some sweetness from the onions, and a nice creamy & acidic sauce. Everything brought the classic french fry together. Of course I used a teeny bit of ketchup to dip a few bites and it just made it even better. Next time I’m going to sprinkle some black pepper on it too! You definitely have to be paying attention to when your order is ready. It didn’t seem like they were calling out names or numbers, but I think in general they send a text when your food is ready.
Khoi Nguyen 9 months agoI got the single Oklahoma burger and the gnarly fries. I'd come back to try the double patty burger. Very nice environment/atmosphere. Smash burger: 8/10. One of the best smash burgers I had in the US. - My pros: Bun was cushiony soft with a good bite to it. Sauce mixed well without being too overpowering. Patty seasoned decently. - My cons: Beef patty didn't taste that beefy. The flavor was a bit mild/lacking for me (maybe the double patty will be better). Gnarly fries: 7.5/10 Nothing crazy. A fancier In N Out animal fries. Solid flavor and good crunch. Little overpriced for what it is, but probably a good price point for their intended clientele.
L Z a month agoThe shake was the best part.. the burger was incredibly greasy and the main flavor was American cheese.. not much meat (on the double burger) lettuce or tomato.. I do appreciate that they use starter bakery buns and Strauss ice cream, but the flavors of the food just weren't there. The fries were lackluster and not very hot or salted enough, the onion rings were good but a little weird with the cornmeal batter. At least there weren't bits of uncooked batter like most places. The prices are on the high side and the portions are small. $55 for 2 small meals is a lot even with today's beef prices. I wasn't hungry because of the insane amount of grease on the burger, but I'll stick with my local place. It's in a food court, there's outdoor seating and indoor. Inside was pretty windy in most spots.
Kristy Okada a year agoI’ve loved these burgers since they’ve been a vendor at the farmers market, and it’s been amazing to watch them grow into a full brick-and-mortar location. Their burger is so good. You can really taste the difference!! Everything feels high-quality and super fresh. My go-to is the All-American burger. I tried the Oklahoma at first because I love grilled onions, but the All-American ended up winning me over. The flavor is just better in my opinion cause of the fresh ingredients (lettuce, onions, and tomato). I also usually get a double! The single is a bit small for my appetite, so doubling up is totally worth it. The fries are crispy and delicious, though I recommend adding a bit of salt to taste. The first couple of times I got them, they were a little bland, but seasoning them yourself makes a big difference. As for the milkshakes—they’re rich, creamy, and delicious. I’d probably get one every time if my lactose intolerance didn’t keep getting in the way. 😅
atomly lee 11 months agoAbsolutely perfect smashburgers, always delicious and made with care. Very strong contender for the best burger in the Bay, I can't say enough good things about it. I've been hooked on them since he was a vendor at the farmer's market and now I make trips to the food hall just to get a burger from him. The fries and shakes are amazing too!
