If you’re anywhere near Sacramento and want a true old school drive-in experience with elite level burgers, Village Drive-In on 60th Street needs to be on your list. We rolled in with a group of six and chose to park, order, and sit outside, which honestly felt like part of the experience. It’s a classic setup: a small indoor space with a handful of tables, plenty of outdoor seating, and a drive-thru for convenience. Our food took about 20 minutes to come out, which might seem like a wait, but once you taste it, you realize exactly why. These were hands-down the best burgers any of us have ever had. Not just me, my girlfriend and all the kids said the same thing. Coming from the Midwest, I’ll put it like this: Better than Culver’s Not even in the same league as In-N-Out And that’s saying something. The attention to detail is obvious. Every bite tasted intentional, not rushed, not mass-produced. Even the fries stood out. They had this rich, almost gourmet flavor, like they might’ve been cooked in something like truffle oil. Not your average side. And the shakes? Dangerous. One kid tried their sibling’s and immediately needed their own. That tells you everything. Customer service was just as solid. I didn’t get cheese on my burger initially, and when I brought it up, they handled it exactly how you’d hope, no pushback, no attitude. They threw it back on the griddle, melted the cheese properly, and made it right without hesitation. Now, let’s talk price, because this is where some people might hesitate. For our group: Burger meals or "specials" ranged roughly from ~$15.99 to $19.89 Shake upcharges added about $1.50–$2.50 depending on size. Total for 6 people: $109.33 after tax Yes, it’s on the higher end, but here’s the reality: This isn’t fast food pricing and it’s not fast food quality either. If you’re local and expecting cheap eats, you might hesitate. If you’re from out of town and want something memorable? This is absolutely worth it. Bottom line: Village Drive-In delivers a unique, nostalgic experience backed by legitimately top tier food. It’s the kind of place you remember and talk about later.

The Burger and Fries were alright. The burger had decent flavor, but nothing really stood out. Fries were a bit too salty for my taste. Not bad for a quick meal, just pretty average overall.

Honestly don't understand the hype around this place... I've gone twice. The first time, there was a brown hair in my deluxe burger, and it wasn't mine as my hair is black. My boyfriend got the pastrami sandwich and said it lacked flavor. The fries though, are absolutely delicious AND fresh. I decided to give them another chance today and got the teriyaki hot sandwich. It also lacked seasoning or taste in general and was soggy after my 10 minute drive home... The fries again though, were delicious. But overall, this place is extremely pricey for the food quality.

First time here and was shocked that this place has a bathroom and it's clean and spacious. When I ordered, Luis was patient with me when I asked him all kinds of questions and he provided awesome customer service. I ordered the cheeseburger with grilled onions meal and substituted the fries for onion rings and also ordered the fried zucchini. Usually ranch at places like this is my favorite, however, when I dipped one fried zucchini in the house made dressing and ate it and it blew my mind because it tasted so good and also had to wait a little bit from eating the zucchini because it was still hot and fresh that I burned my mouth. The house made dressing tasted like a cross between tartar sauce and ranch. Super delicious amd definitely my favorite now! When I bit into the burger it took me to a different place - a happy place. Everything on the cheeseburger with grilled red onions tasted clean and fresh. Something I've never tasted before. The onion rings were crispy and good and it tasted better dipped in the house made dressing. This is now one of my favorite burger spots to eat at and the price is worth it. Highly recommend this place.

I had the deluxe with cheese, onion rings and chocolate shake. Burger was great and felt like they used fresh ingredients, made to order, 9/10. Onion rings, 10/10. Shake 10/10. Wife had fish and chips. Everything was fried golden and crisp. Fries and fish 10/10. Definitely coming back.
