Jonathan Hernandez 5 months agoDefinitely recommend especially when you compare their prices to surrounding spots. I.e 4 streets tacos for $12, or $3 for french fries, $12 for small carne asada fries which are big enougj for two. You're not gonna beat these prices anywhere else in Downtown. Their menu is well priced. I live around the corner and have been wanting to try this spot for a while and it didn't let down. Fast, well priced, super welcoming when we came in. Definitely going back.
MizzBui 6 months agoWe have been wanting to try this place out for a while but saw that they closed for sometime after they first opened so when we finally saw that it's open again we decided to take a 25 mins drive to see what the hype was about. We're born and raised in Colorado and know all about our green chili, from the original chubbys on 38th and of course Santiago's was our go to back home. So our excitement to try this out was up there, first the location is kinda in the sketch part of Fremont, it' is behind the container park. Upon arriving and finding a paid parking we noticed that there was no one there the restaurant was empty . Also The menu on the screen is a little bit more different and the price is different compared to the one on their website. Like my husband’s smothered burrito and my carne asada Fries ended up costing us more over $30 w a small drink. My husband got the beef burrito, smothered and add chicharrones I think that ended costing $16 which was way off than the menu we saw online. We got our food about 10 mins after ordering and Honestly we both agreed the green chili was good but it's not as spicy as back home. The disappointing part was the chicharrones was really chewy it was very dry that it seems liked it's been sitting there for days, It was really hard to chew that our jaw hurts, also the ground beef in the burrito is not well seasoned. Carne asada meat was just ok it's needs more of that carne asada seasoning for sure and it’s a little on the dry side. It's just ok for both of us the green chili isn’t bad but was it the best coming from Colorado? Maybe we ordered the wrong things and maybe they are just barely opening back up, so who knows. Service was ok it look like the owner was the one taking orders he was friendly but Was it worth the drive for us and the hype? Probably not, we always love to support locals and specially they are from Denver so hopefully they get the kinks corrected.
Niko Lucero 4 months agoDowntown Las Vegas! DO NOT sleep on this foodie gem 🤤 I purchased their birria tacos/chili fries combo. Their green chilis have the perfect amount of spice mixed with flavor, bold but not overpowering. The cheese for their fries was excellent, easily the best I've ever had. Same goes for the birria too, it was perfectly made. A MUST VISIT for Downtown food if you plan on having a good night out. Right across from the Downtown Container park on Carson, steps away from the El Cortez. A little piece of Colorado right here in Downtown Las Vegas. Come check it out.
Life 5 months agoThis place is perfect for people who are staying downtown there's a lot things to do ! You have to stop in and try the food we ordered the southwest burger 😋 the meat was good , not fatty and it had good flavor ! The chile relleno was a added touch to the burger ! I ordered the chimichanga with birria beef and had it smothered !!! yummy it came with rice and beans and lettuce and Pico! The rice was good and the tortilla didnt taste like a store bought one so I was happy with that ! I went a second time and had the shack nachos with carne asada as suggested Bomb !! 🤪 the cook and the cashiers customer service was A1 and was much appreciated since it lacks so much in Vegas nowadays🤗 Claudio was awesome very pleasant to speak with and all his suggestions were on point the second time though the chile had more red to chile but was still delicious and had good flavor 🤤 yummy and the pastor had chunks of pina ooowee in the grilled tacos mmmm Definitely come out and try and nothing is overly seasoned for all of you that have to watch out for that !
Christopher Madison 6 months agoFood was excellent. I was skeptical because of the side of town but was blown away by the taste. Birria quesadilla, street corn, huevos ranchos, and asada tacos were all exquisite. Service was exceptional. Restaurant is clean, nice art work on the walls, and welcoming.
