Kenan was one of the best workers I’ve seen in a while as someone who works in the food industry he made the experience incredible! I would love to have him work at my store!!!! The food tasted so good he evenly did the toppings, and he knew time management and was so nice! Pleasant experience overall. He was the only one working and you couldn’t tell because he had it down pat!

This is my second week in a row making a commute to pepperjax downtown & 20mins before actual closing THEY ARE CLOSED!! That’s 2 trips consecutively back to back wasted & not to mention it’s travel time & gas that could’ve went to an establishment that ACTUALLY CLOSES at it’s stated close time. I understand people behind the counter work just as hard as the rest of us but it comes to business & professionalism! If that is the case the hours stated should be edited because it’s misleading customers & personally it’s the closest one to me but at this point i’ll travel elsewhere/other locations due to ACCURACY! This is not the economy to be wasting gas that really what’s irritating & inconsiderate about the BLATANT early closing…like i can settle for 5-10mins BUT 20mins?! It’s ridiculous & AGAIN inconsiderate to the customers that do frequently buy from this specific location BE RELIABLE!

I had a rice bowl with steak, beans, peppers, corn, sour cream, and salsa. It was wonderful! The service was quick and friendly. They cook the steak after you order it, so it’s fresh and delicious. I’m pretty picky with meat, and often can’t eat this type of steak because it’s usually chewy, but that wasn’t the case here at all. Highly recommend!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Absolutely unprofessional and completely AMATEUR people working here with terrible customer service. I get it’s the holidays, but when your hours of operation are posted clearly, even for the holidays, you shouldn’t turn away any customers, I pulled up IN THE PARKING LOT. Called ahead to make sure they were open and everything, and when I did I was told they were open, great. So I pull up a few minutes later to promptly and QUICKLY order my food and get out of these people’s hair, because like them, I have BUSINESS I have to conduct as well. I pull up and the lady very rudely and promptly meets me as I’m walking in and says they’re closed and locks the door on me. I’m sorry, that’s what I called ahead for. Neither the food or the service are exceptional, and frankly, the food isn’t good enough for the service to be that terrible. I get people don’t want to work on the holidays, neither do I. But nonetheless, you have a job to do and should be doing it. Subway is litterally right across the PARKING LOT. Not to mention other food places close by, but pro tip, if you want the same type of food and better service, Qdoba and Chipotle is a measly 1.5 miles away, definitely worth the trip to avoid the terrible customer service and mediocre prices. Happy holidays! Side note: 11-2 means you’re open, 11-2… you don’t turn people away at 1 pm!

I've been to PepperJax in the Old Market about five times. Today I stopped in for a Steak Bowl. The cook seemed to get a bit confused when I asked for no onions and then proceeded to put way too many peppers in the mix. When I sat down and began eating my first bite was all peppers. it was way too hot and overpower the flavor of the dish. I do like a little bit of spicy Heat but this was extreme. I picked thru and removed all the peppers and it turned out to be quite tasty. An observation I noticed the employee demographics are quite different here than the west Omaha location. Here it seems to mainly men with long hair and beards. With the food preparers having so much hair I was a bit concerned about the cleanliness of my food. Anyway. Overall it was a good lunch meal.
