Ok, so it's a chain. Fine. But it started out as a family run Italian beef joint back in the day, and they nailed it. It's a good chain because their quality control is on point, and if you ask me, they are in the top 5 Chicago Italian beef places, and that's something. This location is smallish, and it's a well pulled machine. The people working there are nice, and I saw a dude who refused to use the ordering kiosk. It's seemed to confuse him although he was easily half my age, and a beef dude stepped out and helped the dude order his whole meal. So if you find yourself in this good, I would recommend stopping in here.

Buona in Streeterville consistently delivers outstanding service with a friendly, hardworking, and efficient staff. Everything runs smoothly, and the team makes the experience easy and welcoming every time. The restaurant is also very clean and comfortable, making it a great spot for dining in. The overall atmosphere is relaxed and well-kept, which adds to the enjoyment of the meal. The food is delicious, especially the Italian beef, which stands out as one of the best in Chicago for many visitors. It’s easy to see why people become repeat customers after just one visit. Overall, a solid go-to spot with great service, great food, and a consistently positive experience.

I recently tried the vegan combo at Buona and really enjoyed it. The sandwich was flavorful, satisfying, and a great plant-based option. The combo made it a complete meal, and the service was quick. One funny thing I noticed was that the person ahead of me dine in; ordered enough food for four people and seemed to finish it in just a few seconds it was a little concerning, but definitely memorable! Overall, I had a good experience and would order the vegan combo again.

Seems like they serve all kinds of different foods. I tried the Chicago original Italian beef sandwich. It wasn't good, just tasted like soft boiled meat. It was similar me to a Philly cheesesteak, but less flavor. The fries are similar to Raise Canes fries the freezer kind.

Great food, quick, super friendly service! Manager checked in on us twice, multiple staff members came by to see how everything was going. Crazy good service for an order at the counter, seat yourself like place. Would definitely come back again. Easy 5 minute walk from The Wade hotel, right around the corner. My daughter loved the pizza. Nice chewy, crisp crust, good sauce, can't tell you about the toppings tho, she's 7 ... But there was lots of cheese. 😂. Italian Beefs were super flavorful. They have 4 levels of dip, I chose 3 (dunked, I believe), and I like mine wet, not falling apart...I would go 4 (baptized 😇) next time, but it was still a great sandwich!
