Stopped by Shake Shack with my partner for a quick lunch after visiting the Art Institute of Chicago, and it was just what we needed. I had the classic burger, which was juicy and flavorful, and my partner went with a plain double cheeseburger—simple, but still really good. The fries were crispy and tasty too. It was a bit crowded when we got there, but the line moved quickly, so we didn’t have to wait long. Overall, a solid spot for a quick, satisfying burger if you’re in the area.

The burgers are undercooked and the fries are overcooked. This was an extremely disappointing experience considering I did not eat lunch and could not eat the food I paid for. I don’t eat raw meat and do not expect to bite into a burger and see pink in the middle. I intentionally walked beyond my stop to grab an online order before getting on the train to go home. This is my second time with this issue at this location (the first time was in the summer of 2025), but it is not my experience at other Shake Shack locations. Save your time and money and eat elsewhere on Michigan Ave.

I had an outstanding experience at Shake Shack! From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptional. Peter went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful, taking the time to answer questions and ensure we had a great experience. His positive attitude and excellent customer service truly stood out. The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The burgers were juicy, the fries were crispy, and you could tell great care went into every item. The milkshakes were the highlight of the meal—rich, creamy, and incredibly tasty. They were the perfect treat and easily some of the best milkshakes I’ve had. A big thank you to Peter and the entire Shake Shack team for providing such a memorable dining experience. Great food, amazing shakes, and outstanding service—I’ll definitely be coming back!

My dining experience at Shake Shack on 12 N. Michigan Ave was absolutely wonderful. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly, but what truly elevated the visit was the outstanding service in the dining area. Zara was extraordinary—she cared for every guest with genuine warmth, attentiveness, and a welcoming smile that lit up the entire space. Her energy was uplifting, her timing impeccable, and her kindness unforgettable. She turned a simple meal into a memorable experience. Shake Shack is lucky to have someone as exceptional as Zara representing their team.

Met Peter Samaha a very friendly person with great personality that is helpful and ask if everything is ok. This is our first good experience coming here.
