I've had this exact burger at the original, Taurus Ox location, but this spot is an offshoot set up essentially specifically to sell this burger, since it's so popular. It's pretty much the same as I remember - fantastic as always. This is a very unique burger. It doesn't adhere to the age-old traditions of what a burger should look like. It's a burger that fuses Asian and Western cuisines to provide an experience that you won't find anywhere else. There are so many good parts to this. The buns are toasted really well, and super soft. Of course - the meat is great - achieving a very nice browning on both patties. They are smashed patties, so very thin, but still packed with flavor. The pork belly at the bottom also makes up a huge portion of the taste profile The cheese is melted perfectly, and the mayo is great too, but what really makes this burger is the abundance of pickled red onions. These add a mix of sweetness and sourness that balances the rich, fatty meats and cheese excellently. It truly feels like a full flavor experience in each bite. If I had a downside, like how I felt when I tried the original burger, it's that the beef patties are just too thin. If I didn't know any better, I'd think this was just a single patty. Compared to the amount of other ingredients, and the thickness of the buns, there just isn't enough to the beef patties here. For around $20, this is a very expensive burger - especially since fries aren't even included in that total. Overall, I really like this burger, but there are a couple things preventing it from being the best in the city. 9/10

Picked up burgers and fries on a Tuesday at lunchtime. I had the Lao Burger on a GF bun (I ordered mine with no pork). SO GOOD!! My husband and parents absolutely LOVED their Deluxe smash burgers, cheeseburger, and fries. My husband said they were the best fries he’s EVER had! The Jaew Bong Mayo is INSANE. Spicy, limey, creamy… The most delicious SE Asian burger sauce of your dreams. It was an absolute pleasure to order over the phone. Lovely, friendly customer service! We will definitely be back! 10/10 recommend.

I found this burger place with great reviews and came here with my wife. The employees were very friendly and welcoming, and one of them recommended two burgers. We tried both of them, and they were delicious! No wonder the rating is so high. Highly recommended!

Lao burger, simply amazing! It’s a smash burger, juicy, rich, and flavorful. The pork belly, cilantro, the smashed patty, and the pickled onion created a really intense but balanced flavor profile. The added texture by the taro root makes every bite fun. Before eating, I was worried that the burger is overpriced, but now I understand why the Lao burger has been regarded as a must try burger in Seattle. This is the type of burgers that justifies the gourmet burger price.

Ox burger is a small cozy restaurant decorated with live plants. I loved the atmosphere. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food, and you bus your own dishes. They have a killer happy hour menu, 50% off beer and $6 burgers. We didn’t realize the great deal and we had ordered ten minutes before happy hour was to start. Sad, but we’ll have to try it again next time. We all ordered the famous Lao burger, fries were an extra charge($7), as well as the sauce($2)The amount of fries were enough for two people, thankfully, because they were a little pricy. The burger was also pricy as well ($18). But everything was worth it. The burger was different, a good tasting different flavor burger. I enjoyed the jaew bong mayo, and the cilantro gave it such a unique flavor. I can’t wait to try their other burgers .
